President. Seasoned leader with more than 25 years of professional experience in healthcare and physician practice leadership.

Teri Yates has a 30,000-ft view of what makes a medical practice work. She has watched with interest as healthcare reform has unfolded, and has prepared her clients for the shift to compensation based on value rather than volume.  

An expert on quality improvement, she is masterful in her ability to redesign workflow to achieve higher operational efficiency. With deep experience in the development of high-performing teams, she has a knack for building better collaboration between the individuals at every level of an organization.

Some of Teri's greatest strengths are communication and her creativity.  Clients rely on Teri to help them develop a vision of what they want to achieve, and articulate that vision effectively to staff members, patients, hospitals and other clinical partners. Importantly, she has the business experience to help her clients make their vision a reality. When the current strategy isn't working, Teri is the right person to chart a new course.       


MARY LOU BEAULIEU, CHC, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

VP of Human Resources and Senior Consultant. More than 20 years of experience working as an executive leader in hospitals and medical practices.

Vision about where to go is important. Experience as a navigator to get there is priceless.  There is nobody more effective at taking a plan and making it actually happen than Mary Lou Beaulieu.

After years as a successful hospital executive, Mary Lou initially made the transition into medical practice work as the chief compliance officer and director of risk management for a large single-specialty physician practice.  With advanced certifications in compliance and human resources, she helps her clients carefully navigate the complexities of the law while still achieving their business objectives.  Her experience in risk management and quality improvement makes her uniquely qualified to help her clients mitigate sources of liability in their business.

The real secret to Mary Lou's success is her ability to hold people accountable.  She is a highly effective project manager and helps her clients put ideas into action with her expert management skills.  When a crucial conversation is needed, Mary Lou is there.  When a project must get completed on time, she is the person our clients trust the most.  

 

DAWN HARRIS-MCCLAIN

VP of Business Development and Senior Consultant. More than 25 years of experience working as an executive leader in diverse healthcare organizations.

Every successful organization must operate under a set of objectives, and galvanize their team to drive toward achieving those goals. Dawn Harris-McClain is exceptionally good at motivating teams and helping physicians expand their market share through effective business operation and community engagement.

Prior to joining APA, Dawn applied her talents in the fields of radiology, long term care and hospice. In each of these healthcare segments she held upper management positions with responsibility for leading operational and sales teams. She leverages her extensive experience developing new healthcare facilities to help our clients with the launch of new services or medical practices, overseeing the management of the project to ensure it proceeds on time and within the budget.

Dawn is uniquely talented at motivating teams and she leverages this ability in a variety of ways to help our clients. If our client needs a construction project finished on time, Dawn can make that happen. If they want to increase patient volume, she helps them take the steps needed to scale up the operation.

 

RUTH WALLACE

Chief Financial Officer and Senior Consultant. More than 20 years of experience delivering improved and profitable results.

As a certified public accountant, Ruth leads all business transactions and oversees all financial processes for APA. In her consulting practice, Ruth specializes in business transaction support, profit optimization, and all aspects of financial planning and performance improvement.

Ruth has previously served in capacities including CFO, COO, and CEO/President for companies ranging from $2MM to $250MM in annual revenues. She also led the successful turnaround and sale of two healthcare companies after each emerged from bankruptcy proceedings.

In the medical practice space, she applies her expertise to support the targeted needs of physicians in areas like compensation program design, cash forecasting, and financial planning, as well as management of banking relationships.

 

CAMERON WYLIE

Staff Accountant and Data Analyst.

As the staff accountant for APA, Cameron is responsible for all internal accounting activities such as accounts payable and client invoicing.

As the data analyst for the consulting team, he understands that big business decisions often have big financial impacts. Cameron is relentlessly focused on the details, helping his clients make accurate assessments about their financial future throughout the business development process.
